Here is my top 10 List of Gratitude Practices (feel free to mix up the practices, but do something consciously everyday!) This is a mixture of practices I have done myself or read about and spoke to me as something I could add to my own practice of everyday gratitude.
1. Gratitude Journal - Writing down things we are grateful for has a lot of power. It also helps up look for things in our life to be grateful for. You don't have to journal every day, research from University of Berkeley suggests that you may actually benefit more from writing 2X a week than 3 or more times. Quality over quantity. Maybe 3-5 things a few times a week.
2. Thank you notes - I was always made to write thank you notes as a child. But it's a great practice. First, we rarely get actual handwritten mail anymore. And second, it lets the person know we're thinking of them and thankful for being in their life.
3. Practice present moment gratitude - Take moments in your day when you notice something to stop and actually say, "I am grateful." Take a snapshot of the moment in your mind and not just a selfie with your phone.
